LID – Special patent seal lid of high density polythene to ensure a liquid tight fit to container. Bored and fitted with 8mm diameter plastic grommet to take any standard glass or plastic airlock. The fold back rim allows easy removal.

HEATER – 2.75 Kilowatt element: 240/250 Volt : Normal kettle type element fitting with external plastic screw collar, and complete with internal rubber sealing washer. The element has an integral safety cut-out for excessive temperatures which automatically resets when the temperature drops to an acceptable level.
HEAT CONTROL – A highly sensitive control unit mounted on to a flat metal heat sink, which is secured in close contact with the outside of the bucket by the element securing collar. Under ideal operating conditions (i.e. with a constant external temperature and freedom from air currents): the temperature control should be better than 1-2°C. Unlike a normal thermostat, which only cuts out the heating element when the preset temperature is reached. The control unit gives a continual on/off cycling, the off period time decreasing as the setting on the dial is increased towards 10. The control dial is calibrated 0 to 10 with ½ unit divisions, and for any fixed volume of liquid, a particular setting will give repeatable temperature control.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL RANGE - 75°F (24°C) Approx. to 212°F (100°C).
USES – Designed for all malt and cereal mashing, and the subsequent hop boiling process. Can also be used for short term fermentation provided the minimum temperature setting is satisfactory.
MASHING & SPARGING BAG – This has a draw string top and measures 115cm (dia) x 34cm (deep). Made from nylon/polyester.
